DESCRIPTION: Post - World War One period German Mauser M. 1896 "Broomhandle" Bolo pistol. This model is often described as "Late Post-War Model Bolo". The right side of the frame displays following markings, "Waffenfabrik Mauser Oberndorf a. Neckar". The left side of the frame is stamped with a nice "Mauser" trade mark. The back of the barrel displays following markings, "Waffenfabrik Mauser Oberndorf a/N". German proof mark, "Double Crown over U" is stamped on the left side of the back of the barrel. Adjustable back sight is calibrated from 50 to 1000 m. 3.9 inch long barrel. 22 groove walnut grips. The serial number is stamped on the back of the frame and on the back of the grip. Complete with a lanyard ring. CONDITION: Fine. 68% of original blue on the metal. The blue is worn mostly on the magazine walls, as well as on the edges of the frame and barrel. All matching serial numbers. Fine bore with strong and shiny rifling. Very smooth action. All the markings and numbers are clearly visible on the metal. All the internal parts of the pistol are in fine condition, with no visible wear. The wooden grips are in fine condition showing some light wear and some minor handling marks. DESCRIPTION: The World War One production Imperial German Army Mauser M. 1914 pistol. Imperial German Military acceptance stamp is located on the top of slide in front of rear sight, "Crown over Gothic D". "Double Crown over U" proof is stamped behind the rear sight. The left side of the slide displays following markings, "Waffenfabrik Mauser A.-G. Oberndorf a.N. Mauser's Patent" (in one line). The right side of the slide displays, "Mauser - 7.65". Left side of the side plate is stamped with nice "Mauser" trade mark. Eight shot magazine. Fixed back sight. CONDITION: Low fine. 84% of original blue on the metal. The side plate with "Mauser" logo was cleaned to white metal. The blue on the grip is turning to brownish patina. Some light tool marks, or scratches on the right/front part of the slide and frame. There is also one scratch on the magazine floor plate. Matching serial numbers. Excellent bore with strong and shiny rifling. Mechanically, the pistol is in perfect condition. Very smooth action. High quality of machining and polishing. The original wooden grip with diamond checkering shows some wear. All the markings and numbers are clearly visible on the metal. All the internal parts of the pistol are in fine condition, with no visible wear. No import markings. Interesting pistol for the World War One collector. Serial# 1684XX. |

DESCRIPTION: German Mauser WTP pistol presented to the Polish Army Colonel on his name-day in Warsaw, Poland in 1923, with the proper inscription in Polish language on the slide, "Ukochanemu Dowodcy Ppulk. Razniewskiemu w dniu Imienin. Warszawa, dn. 2 maja 1923 r. - Zolnierze Odd. Sanitarnego" ("To the Beloved Commander, Colonel Razniewski on His Name-Day. Warsaw, May 2, 1923. From the Soldiers of the Medical Unit"). Six round magazine. Manufactured by Mauser-Werke AG, Oberndorf in early 1920-s. The grip displays "MAUSER" banner and diamond checkering on each side. Complete with nice, light color leather holster. CONDITION: Fine, with 90-92% of original blue. Some holster wear on the slide. The balance is in white. One-piece black plastic grip with one small chip in its right side lower corner (please, see pictures). There is also a couple of minor hairline cracks on the back of the plastic grip, near the screw. Nice bore with strong rifling. Strong action. All the markings and numbers are clearly visible on the metal. All the internal parts of the pistol are in fine condition, with no visible wear. The holster is in overall, very good condition. The leather is still soft and flexible. The lower part of the belt loop was restitched. Very scarce Mauser WTP with the inscription for the Polish Army officer! Serial# 14XX. |

DESCRIPTION: This is a late Nazi issue ersatz paper holster for a medium frame semi-automatic pistol (most likely, Mauser M.1934, although several other pistols would fit in the holster). Nazi paper holsters are quite scarce. The main body of holster is made of laminated paper, while the magazine pouch, belt loop and strap are made of leather. No markings are visible on the inside of leather flap. CONDITION: Very good. Laminated paper is dry and stiff. The leather is still flexible. Some minor wear to the magazine pouch. Very scarce World War Two holster. All complete and original. (Ref. "Military Holsters of World War II" by Eugene J. Bender, p.103). |
