Argentinian Military Contract Austro Hungarian Mannlicher

DESCRIPTION: Early Austro-Hungarian
Mannlicher M.1905 semi-automatic pistol manufactured for the
Argentinian military. The pistol was known in Argentina as,
"Modelo 1905". The pistol was designed by Ferdinand
von Mannlicher, one of the most famous gun designers of the period.
Many Austro-Hungarian officers privately purchased similar Mannlicher
pistols and carried them during the World War One. Made by Waffenfabrik
Steyr, as indicated by markings on the left side of the frame.
The left side of the frame displays also wording, "System
Mannlicher Md.1905".The pistol is in its original condition,
except for the Argentinian crest removed from the right side
of the frame. Most M.1905 pistols had the crest removed by the
Argentinian authorities before exportation to the USA in 1950-s
and 1960-s. Matching serial and contract numbers. Delayed
blowback action. Eight shot magazine (stripper clip fed). Barrel
length is 159 mm. CONDITION: Very good+ to low fine. 85%
of blue finish is still on metal. Couple of spots of pitting
on the hilt (please, see pictures). Very good bore with strong
rifling (some roughness in the grooves). Strong action.
All the internal parts of the pistol are in very good condition,
with no visible wear. Original hardwood grips with diamond checkering.
Some handling marks and dings are visible on the grips. This
is definitely one of the of the most elegant semi-automatic pistols
ever manufactured! No import markings. Serial# 53XX/12XX. |

Argentinian Police Issue Colt M. 1927 Semi-Auto Pistol in
.22LR Caliber

DESCRIPTION: Scarce Argentinian
police issue Colt M. 1927 semi-auto pistol in .22LR caliber.
Manufactured by FM under Colt's license in Argentina.
Left side of the slide is marked: "D.G.F.M. -(F.M.A.P.)".
Right side of slide displays following wording, "Policia
de la Provincia de Buenos Aires", and a nice Argentinian
Crest. Conversion markings are stamped underneath, "Transf.
a Cal. 22LR por Est. Venturini S.A.". This pistol was
originally manufactured in .45ACP caliber for the police, and
later converted to .22LR. The pistol was completely refurbished
in the process. This is a very high quality conversion, with
beautifully machined .22 barrel. The magazine was also originally
manufactured for .22 LR, and not converted from 45ACP. 5"
barrel. The design closely follows the lines of Colt M1911 A1.
Matching serial numbers on the frame and on the slide. No
serial number is present on the .22 LR barrel. The magazine displays
an electric penciled number, which is different from the number
on the frame. All complete and in original configuration. Very
high quality of machining and metal finish! CONDITION: Excellent+,
as refurbished during the conversion to .22LR caliber in Argentina.
99%+ of dark blue finish on the metal. Like new bore with
shiny rifling. Black plastic grips show some handling marks
and light dings. Very strong action. All the markings and numbers
are clearly visible on the metal. All the internal parts
of the pistol are in excellent condition, with no visible wear.
Very nice Argentinian .22 pistol! Small import markings

Argentinian Military Contract Simson Nagant M. 1893 Revolver

DESCRIPTION: Large frame Nagant
revolver built by Simson & Co. in Suhl, and accordingly marked
on the left side of the frame. This revolver was a part of
Argentinian military contract fulfilled by Simson. The revolver
has original finish and was not refurbished by the Argentinian
arsenal. The revolver is very similar to large frame Belgian
military M.1878-86 Nagant revolvers. Single and double action.
Wooden grips with diamond checkering. German proofs are stamped
on all the major parts of the revolver. Non-fluted, six round
cylinder. Six inch long octagonal barrel. Complete with lanyard
ring. CONDITION: Fine+ (NRA Antique). 94% of original
blue finish is still on the metal. Some finish is turning to
brownish color. Some occasional peppering on the barrel. Original
checkered grips are in very good condition with numerous handling
marks and dings. All matching serial numbers. Excellent bore
with strong and shiny rifling. The cylinder chambers are
in fine condition. Strong action. All the markings and numbers
are clearly visible on the metal. All the internal parts
of the revolver are in fine condition, with no visible wear.
Difficult to find South American contract large frame Nagant
revolver in all original condition! Antique. Serial# 63XX.

commercial pistol manufactured by Hispano-Argentina Fabricas
de Automoviles SA in Buenos Aires, Argentina in the 1940-s.
Left side of the slide is marked: "PISTOLA AUTOMATICA
C. 11.25 mm. FABRICADA POR 'HAFDASA' PATENTES INTERNACIONALES
'BALLESTER-MOLINA' INDUSTRIA ARGENTINA" (in three lines,
please note the metric caliber designation). 5" barrel.
The design closely follows the lines of Colt M1911 A1, except
for the omission of the grip safety. The pistol displays only
one serial number stamped on the hilt next to the magazine floorplate.
The serial number has an "X" prefix. According to some
collectors, this number was stamped in order to satisfy the US
firearms importation rules. All complete and in original configuration.
Very high quality of machining and metal finish! CONDITION:
Low excellent. 96-97% of original crisp, blue finish on the
metal. The blue finish is worn mostly on the edges of the slide
and frame. Couple of minor scratches on the lower part of the
slide. Excellent bore with strong and shiny rifling. Very
nice hardwood grips without any handling marks. Very strong action.
All the markings and numbers are clearly visible on the metal.
All the internal parts of the pistol are in like new condition,
with no visible wear. Very attractive Argentinian Ballester-Molina

DESCRIPTION: Scarce Argentinian
.22 LR commercial pistol manufactured by Hispano-Argentina
Fabricas de Automoviles SA in Buenos Aires, Argentina in
the 1940-s. This pistol was originally manufactured in .22LR
caliber for the commercial market, and is not a military conversion
from .45 ACP, which is more common! The magazine was also
originally manufactured for .22 LR, and not converted from 45ACP.
The pistols of this type were not officially imported to the
USA, but rather imported privately by US army officers and diplomats.
This particular pistol was most likely imported from Belgium,
as it shows Belgian commercial proof marks, "Crown over
L" (in the circle) and "Star over S"
stamped on the barrel, slide and frame. Left side of the slide
is marked: "PISTOLA AUTOMATICA C. 22. FABRICADA POR 'HAFDASA'
PATENTES INTERNACIONALES 'BALLESTER-MOLINA' INDUSTRIA ARGENTINA"
(in three lines, please note .22 caliber designation). 5"

side of the slide is marked: "PISTOLA AUTOMATICA C. 45.
FABRICADA POR 'HAFDASA' PATENTES INTERNACIONALES 'BALLESTER-MOLINA'
INDUSTRIA ARGENTINA" (in three lines). Matching serial
numbers, except for the magazine. 5" barrel. 7 shots
magazine. The design closely follows the lines of Colt M1911
A1, except for the omission of the grip safety. All complete
and in as issued configuration. Very high quality of machining
and metal finish! CONDITION: Fine+. 95% of dull blue
finish on the metal. The blue finish is worn mostly on the
edges of the slide and frame (holster wear). Some blue on the
front part of the hilt is turning to brownish color. There are
some minor scratches on the right/front part of the slide (please,
see pictures). The bore is in fine condition with strong and
shiny rifling. Nice hardwood grips with minor handling
marks. Very strong action. All the markings and numbers are clearly
visible on the metal. All the internal parts of the pistol
are in excellent condition, with no visible wear. Difficult
to find Argentinian National Gendarmerie contract pistol. Small
import markings on the hilt next to the magazine floorplate.

Scarce Argentinian Military Contract English Tranter M.1868

DESCRIPTION: Scarce Argentinian
military contract English Tranter M.1868 revolver. The right
side of the frame shows Argentinian military property markings,
"EN 884". The abbreviation stands for "Ejercito
Nacional" (National Army). Argentina purchased about
two thousand of such revolvers in the early 1870-s. The revolver
follows loosely the lines of M.1868 Trade Pattern. Large
size frame, with unusually long barrel (8 inch!). Scarce variant
with the swivel type extractor rod and the latter release lever
located on the left side of the frame. Single and double action.
The left side of the barrel housing displays following maker
markings, "W. TRANTER PATENT". English proofs
and caliber designation, "440" are stamped on
the octagonal barrel. The same proof marks are stamped on the
wall of every chamber of the cylinder. Some light engraving on
the frame. Complete with the lanyard ring. CONDITION: Very
good. 60% of brownish patina finish remaining on metal, with
the balance in white. Some surface rust on the frame and barrel.
Very good bore and chambers. The action works fine. Wooden one-piece
grip with diamond checkering is also in very good condition,
with some wear and some handling marks. Interesting Argentinian
contract large frame Tranter revolver! Barrel length: 8 inch.
